Building Solutions North East are an independent, property development and construction company based in the heart of Northumberland - we pride ourselves on being professional, prompt, and reliable. Working across commercial, residential, student accommodation, educational and leisure facilities to name a few. We are actively looking for experienced tradesman to join our ever-expanding team working throughout Northumberland and the wider North East Region.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Reporting directly to the contracts / operations manager
- Undertake joinery work on the full range of properties associated with refurbishment, maintenance, and project works.
- To undertake all joinery work as necessary in the repair, maintenance or replacement of the following (included but not limited too): doors, door frames, fire doors, windows, timber, flooring, roofing, skirting, ceilings, panelling and kitchen and bathroom fitting.
- Undertake assigned tasks within the maintenance team, having full regard to site licence requirements and regulations.
- To provide a top level service to clients and maintain a good customer relationship as a priority.
- Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the post objectives as required by Management.
- Assist in the efficient delivery of tasks to the highest possible standard.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a joiner to a minimum NVQ level 2 with at least 4 years experience
- Experience in both 1st and 2nd fix joinery - a well rounded individual preferred
- the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Used to self-managing, prioritising workloads, and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Essential time management skills.
- A working knowledge of all current Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
- Confidence to work alone or with a team.
- Ability to produce a high standard of work.
- Have a full, clean, UK driving licence.
An enhanced DBS check would be advantageous

Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.
Usual working days Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm). Weekend availability arranged by prior agreement to suit the needs of business.
Company van can be provided.
