Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including chopping, slicing, and measuring. Support chefs and cooks in the cooking process by following instructions and maintaining high standards of food quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment. Help with catering events by preparing food items as required and assisting with setup and service. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and meal preparation techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
