We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Architect
with a minimum of 3 year's experience in Practice
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of landscape design principles and be proficient in various design software. This role involves collaborating with clients, engineers, and other professionals to create aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. The Landscape Architect will be responsible for managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that all designs meet client specifications and environmental regulations.
Duties
Develop innovative landscape designs that align with client needs and project goals.
Prepare detailed tender drawings and specifications for hard and soft landscape projects.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
A
degree
in Landscape Architecture and member of the Landscape Institute.
Proven ability to prepare drawing packages including detailed construction drawings in plan, section and elevation & specification.
High level of ability in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Revit is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrate fluency in the English language.
You will be required to work closely with clients, consultants and contractors.
Good plant knowledge and direct experience of completing planting schemes.
High level of ability to sketch and develop designs by hand.
A keen eye for detail with a passion for sustainable design practices.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Desirable
Experience in landscape planning, including LVA/LVIAs, and landscape design strategies.
A good understanding of UK planning policy and legislation related to landscape and environmental planning.
Undertake site visits and surveys to assess landscapes and gather data for analysis and reporting.
Proficiency in other relevant software (e.g., GIS software, Sketchup and other 3D software).
