Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for horticulture and gardening, with a strong focus on landscape upkeep. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic setting, applying practical skills in landscape maintenance, construction, and equipment operation. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring our clients' landscapes are healthy, aesthetically pleasing, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, fertilising, and planting Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely and efficiently Use hand tools for planting, edging, and general garden care Maintain irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and seasonal adjustments Operate machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or site preparation Conduct general construction tasks related to landscape projects, including setting up features and structures Assist with specialised horticultural tasks to promote healthy plant growth Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify issues requiring attention or repair Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any faults promptly

Skills

Proven experience in landscape maintenance and horticulture practices Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating and maintaining gardening machinery and tools Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks Experience with excavators or similar heavy machinery is advantageous Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair techniques Strong understanding of garden design principles and plant care Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments Good organisational skills with attention to detail in maintenance routines Physical fitness to undertake manual labour tasks over extended periods
