Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Setter Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a good mechanical knowledge and experience in setting and programming machines with Fanuc, Hass, Hurco and Mazak smooth G Controls. Knowledge of milling and turning required. along with experience of One CNC off line software is an advantage.

Duties

Operate, set and monitor machinery, including mills and tooling equipment, to ensure optimal performance. Assemble components according to specifications, utilising SolidWorks and CAD software for precise measurements. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order. Check that manufactured parts comply to drawing tolerances and meet the necessary quality standards Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols during materials handling processes. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation, applying logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Collaborate with team members, design engineers and management to improve operational efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role within a workshop or manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand and operate machine controls like Fanuc, Hass and Hurco controls effectively. Able to read CAD drawings and measurements, experience of One CNC off line software an advantage Experience in Milling and Turning Familiarity with tooling processes and materials handling techniques. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
