Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Medical Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with medication administration and patient care. Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries regarding medications and services. Process prescriptions accurately, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Provide information to patients about medication usage, side effects, and storage requirements. Assist in the administration of medications as directed by qualified healthcare professionals. Maintain an organised and clean work environment, including the counter area and storage spaces. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care. Handle customer transactions efficiently, including payments and insurance claims. Keep up-to-date with pharmacy products and services to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Skills

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is essential. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions. Proficient in using computer systems for processing prescriptions and managing patient records.
