We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves installing, repairing, maintaining & renewing roofs on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including slating, tiling, liquid coatings & must be able to carry out all forms of lead working including lead welding.
Repair and replace damaged roofs, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary maintenance.
Collaborate with other construction professionals including carpenters and plumbers as needed.
Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation and repair processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is required.
Knowledge of fabrication techniques and masonry skills is advantageous.
Strong understanding of flat roof timber work.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
