Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and possess a strong understanding of construction principles. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work at heights, ensuring that roofs are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
- Fabricate roofing materials as needed for specific projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of roofing systems.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary during the installation process.
- Work collaboratively with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct masonry work as needed for roof installations or repairs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working at heights or with heavy materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications

- 5 to10 years experience

- driving licence essential
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and techniques.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and building plans.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
- A background in carpentry or masonry is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
