Job Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to work within a modern dental practice based in North Birmingham. Our exciting team provides smile make over using digital technology. We also provide Invisalign, composite bonding, facial aesthetic, dental implants.

The candidate will play an important team role in the day to day smooth running of the practice.

Duties to include:

Decontamination duties

Assisting the clinician at chair-side

Offering assistance to patients and be a diligent team player

Reception duties

Clinical and general cleaning within the practice

Desired Skills:

Must have good communication skills

Excellent IT ability

Good telephone manner

Work on your own initiative

Confident and professional

Able to deal with patients in a calm manner

Flexible and punctual are essential for this post

Personal qualities:

Candidates must have a good attitude to work, with a presentable appearance. The candidate must also have a caring, conscientious personality and be outgoing with an ambition to do well in dental nursing. Essential skills in teamwork are required.

Desired qualifications:

5 GCSE grade 5 to 9 including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications are essential.

Candidate must have previous experience and should have already started the dental nurse training at the approved training establishment.

Things to consider

Successful candidates will be expected to keep up to date with inoculations such as Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis and normal childhood vaccinations. You are required to attend regular learning workshops at the approved training establishment.
