We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people, providing support, guidance, and mentorship. This role involves engaging with youth in various settings, fostering their personal development, and helping them navigate challenges. The Youth Worker will play a crucial role in creating a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement educational and recreational programmes tailored to the needs of young people. Provide mentorship and guidance to youth, helping them set and achieve personal goals. Foster positive relationships with children and young people to encourage their participation and engagement. Collaborate with parents, schools, and other community organisations to support youth development. Maintain accurate records of activities, progress, and any incidents that occur during sessions. Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities to ensure inclusivity. Facilitate group discussions and workshops that promote social skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children or young people in a mentoring or teaching capacity. Strong understanding of youth work principles and practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of young individuals. Relevant qualifications in youth work or education would be advantageous.
