Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced External Facade Site Manager to join our team and oversee the facade and brickwork aspects of our project in Ashford, Kent. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in site management in external works, including brickwork, cladding, scaffolding coordination, and facade installation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Facilitate timely resolution of technical issues related to facade and brickwork. Manage site workers and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency. Manage external procurement processes, from material inquiries to on-site delivery, maintaining a thorough audit trail. Attend and document regular supply chain meetings to monitor and uphold progress within the overall construction schedule. Collaborate with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct information is supplied to subcontractors on-site. Track and document on-site progress against the construction schedule. Enforce adherence to Health and Safety, Environmental, and quality procedures, and maintain comprehensive records. Collaborate with the project and site manager to ensure smooth progress of the site programme. Assess resource allocation and review project progress in consultation with the project manager. Review and ensure site-based personnel possess appropriate training and valid certifications for the project.

Experience/Qualifications Required:

Site Manager qualification (SMSTS). Detailed knowledge of facade and brickwork processes. At least 5 years' experience in a construction supervisory role, preferably on external works. Strong Health, Safety, and Environmental awareness. Experience managing a team of site-based operatives.
