About ASL Education
ASL Education is a school-based sports and physical education provider delivering high-quality PE, sport and physical activity programmes across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
We work in close partnership with primary schools to provide curriculum PE, extracurricular clubs, enrichment programmes and holiday provision, with a strong focus on inclusive delivery, positive behaviour, and long-term impact rather than just participation numbers.
Our coaching team is made up of qualified, professional coaches who are supported to deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions that help children develop confidence, fundamental movement skills, teamwork, and a lifelong love of being active.

About the Role
We are seeking
Level 2 qualified sports coaches
to join our growing team delivering high-quality physical education and sport in primary schools, extra-curricular clubs, and holiday camps.
You will work with children aged 4-11, delivering engaging sessions that develop physical competence, confidence, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards sport and activity.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned to the national curriculum
Lead extracurricular sports clubs and activity sessions
Plan and adapt sessions to suit different ages, abilities, and needs
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Manage behaviour effectively and professionally
Act as a positive role model and represent the organisation to a high standard
Communicate effectively with school staff and parents where required
Essential Requirements
Minimum Level 2 coaching qualification
(any sport)
Experience coaching children in a school or club setting
Confidence leading groups independently
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Willingness to travel to multiple school sites
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience delivering primary school PE
First Aid qualification
Multi-sport coaching experience
Safeguarding training
