Joseph Hadlum is a modern Extra Care scheme enjoying a peaceful yet convenient location, just a short distance from the centre of the popular town of Ashford.

Set up as Independent Living facilities, our Extra Care units provide a safe and caring living environment for the residents, leaving them free to come and go as they please. Our staff are on hand to support them with their daily living requirements.

We are now seeking a Care Assistant on a part-time basis to cover our day shifts, working a minimum of alternate weekends with shift hours being 7am-2pm, 3pm-9pm or 4pm-9pm.

The role itself is varied, you must be willing to provide the following:

Assist with all personal care needs - washing/dressing/toileting

Medication Support

Meal Preparation

Light Domestic duties/shopping when required

Social and Emotional Support - to include Community outings

Any additional tasks as needed

You will need to offer:

Commitment and compassion to the clients and the role itself

Deliver the highest standard of care, ensuring dignity and respect is shown at all times

Allow the clients to remain as independent as possible and actively encourage this

Enjoy working in both a team environment and alone
