At AESG we are looking for a Facade Engineer to support the Building Safety & Advisory division and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will be based in London, UK, supporting the successful delivery of UK and international projects, working with project team throughout all project phases and covering all aspects of Facade Engineering.


This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Facade Engineer seeking a position within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering that provides a significant opportunity for progression and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues- at detail design and construction stage and remedial of existing projects. Conduct Facade diagnosis inspections and reporting. Conduct factory & site inspections and reporting, including testing and visual & performance mockups. Generating multiple instance of repeat work with clients. Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide line management. Updating existing construction check list templates. Keeping up to date with facade market/standards/code of practice. Development of research publications.

Qualification /Experience:

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering or equivalent A minimum of 3-5 years of facade design and engineering experience Sound technical knowledge in Facade/Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors. Chartered Engineer with IstructE or a Member of Society of Facade Engineering - preferred A thorough understanding of facade engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process Able to take a brief from the project lead and deliver & control the tasks required, within time and budget Familiar with international codes such as ASTM, and BS EN Familiar with engineering software such as Strand7, Therm, Staad, Solidworks. Grasshopper and Rhino is a plus Ability to conduct finite element analysis for complex glazed elements, metal components and other materials
