We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Facade Engineer to join our team.

What does the role involve?



As a Facade Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, engineering, and documentation of facade systems, ensuring technical excellence and quality in all project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities will include:



Design & Specialist Input:

+ Undertake facade structural design and analysis using relevant codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
+ Utilise computer-assisted engineering and design software for simulations and preparing engineering design documents.
+ Address and resolve technical challenges, providing specialist input to ensure project quality.

Project Management:

+ Liaise with Team Leaders or Project Leaders on technical aspects of projects.

Coordination & Collaboration:

+ Work closely with architects and other designers to ensure safe designs that align with project aesthetics and concepts.
+ Coordinate with different consultants to integrate engineering systems optimally.

Documentation & Reporting:

+ Prepare detailed design reports at concept and sketch design stages. A high level of proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
+ Assist in project implementation, including site and factory inspections, quality audits, and report preparation.

Quality Assurance:

+ Ensure the accuracy and quality of your own work and the work of others.
+ Author non-standard letters, reports, and other documentation as required.

Client & Team Representation:

+ Represent the team and discipline at external meetings, demonstrating professional expertise.
+ Handle routine contract administration efficiently.

What do you need to be successful in the role?



You'll have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Architecture, a Masters in Facade Engineering would be desirable. A strong understanding of Building Physics and UK compliance is required along with proficiency in different facade materials and systems. You'll have demonstrable project experience with a robust portfolio and proven capability of working on complex projects in a fast-paced environment.


Software wise you'll have skills in the following:

Rhino (with Grasshopper) Bisco Trisco Flixo AutoCAD Revit Athena (AutoCAD) BuildDesk SJ Mepla
