Overview


We are seeking a highly experienced

Data Solution Architect

who is passionate about Data & AI and eager to work on cutting-edge technologies. This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to complex, high-impact engagements across a variety of industries in the UK and Europe.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong communication skills and leadership capabilities, driving the design and delivery of innovative data solutions that enable organisations to transform their data landscape.

Key Responsibilities



Solution Leadership:

Lead the architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, end-to-end data solutions using Azure and Microsoft Fabric services, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Data Modelling & Integration:

Develop and maintain robust data models, integrate diverse data sources, and enable seamless data movement and interoperability across platforms and teams.

Data Governance & Security:

Define and implement strong data governance frameworks, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and apply security best practices such as access control, data masking, and audit logging.

Performance Optimisation:

Continuously analyse data workloads, optimise Fabric/Azure resources, and address performance bottlenecks to ensure efficient and cost-effective data operations.

Enterprise Architecture:

Create and deliver Data & AI solutions for large enterprises, leading architecture teams and promoting standards and best practices aligned with enterprise strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct workshops, clarify solution details, and present optimal architectural approaches.

Issue Resolution:

Manage and resolve escalated issues related to Data & AI solution delivery in a timely and effective manner.

Data Landscape Modernisation:

Conduct assessments of existing data landscapes and rationalise tools or platforms. Provide solutions for modernising, migrating, and integrating applications on the cloud using industry best practices.

Pre-Sales & Business Development:

Work closely with pre-sales and account teams to support Data & AI deal pursuits and drive the expansion of existing projects.

Thought Leadership:

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying insights to develop solutions, initiate new projects, and shape future capability roadmaps.

Mentorship & Talent Development:

Contribute to developing accelerators and frameworks, mentor emerging Data & AI talent, and participate in recruitment to build high-performing teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience



18-20 years of relevant work experience in Data & AI solution architecture, ideally gained at reputable technology or services organisations. Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Decision Sciences, or a related field. Proven experience delivering Microsoft Fabric data foundations for enterprise clients. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts through compelling storytelling. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies for development and execution. Demonstrated ability to engage in meaningful customer conversations and drive positive business outcomes. Experience collaborating with technology and architecture teams from major cloud providers. Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and develop top-tier Data & AI professionals. Willingness to travel up to 10-20% of the time, primarily within the UK and occasionally within Europe.
