The Role
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator / MIG Welder who will be reporting directly to the Head Foreman. As a Welder at Simon and Dean Limited, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and assemblies for a range of steel handling and storage products. You will work from engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate structural assemblies that meet the company's quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
MIG welding
on mild steel and other ferrous metals to fabricate product components such as pallets, trolleys, racks, frames, cages, and bespoke fabricated items.
Interpret and work from technical drawings, fabrication drawings, jigs, and written instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.
Use fabrication tools such as cutting equipment, grinders, clamps, presses, and measuring instruments.
Work efficiently in a production environment to meet scheduled output and quality targets.
Working collaboratively with other fabricators, welders, and production staff
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years' MIG welding experience (essential)
Proven fabrication experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Experience with interpreting drawings and cutting lists
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting production deadlines
Forklift licence (advantageous, but not required)
