Time-served Fabricator Welder to manufacture various sized sub-components from profiles and sections. These manufactured components are then included after post surface treatment, into the final assemblies which make up our various machine ranges.
Requirements
As a Fabricator Welder you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that Health, safety, and quality standards are complied with, including the specific duties under them i.e., correct use of PPE, RPE, LEV daily.
Understanding and experience of JIG work would be advantageous.
Work with various sections and plate material (4mm - 30mm plus thick) - Essential.
JIG work - various.
Highlight and communicate any minor faults which may arise, and which may cause delay to production.
Ensure work is carried out to tolerances as stated on Drawings.
Ensure all operating conditions are safe and suitable before commencing any manufacturing process.
Ensure work area is always kept clean and tidy.
Maintain records of production inspection sheets as requested by the Operations Manager.
Ensuring stock levels are maintained for task being carried out and that any future requirements or shortages are reported to ensure production flow is not impacted.
As a Fabricator Welder, you will:
Report to Fabrication Department Team Leader and Operations Manager.
Be an excellent team player with attention to detail, be self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure, whilst being efficient, productive, and meeting production deadlines - Essential.
Have previous factory production experience - Essential.
Have JIG work experience - Advantageous.
Be able to read and interpret technical drawings - Essential.
Have good knowledge of fabricating and welding techniques including MAGS Welding (Mild Steel) - Essential.
Have good knowledge of workshop tools and machinery; including Band Saw and Pedestal Drill - Essential.
Qualifications
Time Served: City & Guilds level 3 (or equivalent) in Fabrication and Welding.
5 x GCSE or equivalent.
Welding Qualifications (Coded), not essential but would be advantageous.
