Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with MIG welding.. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to create high-quality products, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Operate power tools and hand tools to fabricate metal components according to specifications. Perform MIG welding techniques to assemble parts and structures. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. Work with sheet metal, ensuring precise cuts and welds for optimal assembly.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Familiarity with MIG welding techniques is essential; additional welding certifications are advantageous. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations in fabrication processes. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
