MIG Fabricator/Welder

Due to continual expansion SC4 are seeking Welder/Fabricators.

These positions are MIG welding/fabricating processing structural/construction steel. The right candidate will be able to read and work from engineering drawings and have a strong understanding of material sections, weld symbols and the MIG welding process.

As a fabricator/welder you will abe expected to perform a number of general duties some of which include:

Fork Lift Truck / Side Loader movements (not essential)

Internal material movement using overhead crane

General housekeeping and upkeep of weld plant machinery and work area.

Loading/unloading of material on/off of trailers

About You:

You will have proven history of MIG welding and fabrication in a constructional steel setting. This position requires an enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail who is able to work towards daily and weekly production targets and consistently maintain high quality standards. You must be able to use workshop hand tools, grinders, OXY cutting and have some band saw experience (preferable). The successful candidate will be physically fit and familiar working in a fast-paced construction steel environment.

Individuals must have a flexible and dynamic approach to working hours and be willing and able to work overtime.

Skills and Qualifications:

3+ Years as MIG fabricator/welder

Experience in the steel industry (essential)

Ability to read engineering drawings (essential)

Ability to accurately use measuring equipment (essential)

Overhead Crane (desirable)

Forklift / Side loader (desirable)

Must have strong written and spoken English.

Excellent time keeping, positive attitude, ability to work independently

ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE SUBJECT TO A WELD TEST

Working Hours:

Positions available on 6-2 Monday-Friday & 2-12 Monday-Thursday

Monday - Friday

6am - 2pm / 2-12

Overtime regularly available

Benefits:

OVERTIME RATE @ 1:45

Permanent contract after successful probation period.
