Job Summary

We are seeking a time served skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques, including TIG and MIG welding, working with stainless steel, non-ferrous & ferrous materials and be fully conversant in light to medium fabrications using both hand and power tools to assemble components according to specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. Fabricate components from sheet metal, following detailed drawings and specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts. You will be able to take measurements/mark out, drill/cut materials to size by burning, disc cutting or by machine You will need experience in metal dressing to a high standard (grinding, sanding and polishing.) Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes. Demonstrate basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding, particularly with TIG and MIG methods. Strong fabrication skills with a focus on sheet metal work and light fabrications. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process. Solid mechanical knowledge to understand assembly processes and equipment functionality. Basic mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations. Ability to read technical drawings accurately. A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace. Pay: 15.40-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 - 48.5 per week
