Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fabricator to join our team in Ilkeston. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver cutting-edge automation solutions for the food industry. The successful candidate will contribute to the fabrication and assembly of high-quality machinery that meets our rigorous standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal components using TIG welding, sheet metal techniques, and power tools. Operate and maintain rolling machinery to shape and form sheet metal and fabricate vessels and machines according to specifications. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise fabrication. Maintain a safe and clean work environment adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards. Assist in the maintenance of equipment and tools. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Qualifications

Proven experience in TIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Knowledge of safety procedures related to fabrication environments.

Preferred:

Experience working within the food manufacturing or automation industry. Certification in welding or fabrication techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
