Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various tools and materials, mainly mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe environment.

What you'll do:

Perform Mig/tig welding to fabricate and assemble high quality metal components Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Fabricate sheet metal parts according to project requirements, ensuring precision and quality standards are met. Conduct routine inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control measures. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication challenges that may arise.

What you'll need:

Proven experience in welding, particularly Mig/tig welding, is essential. Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to read detailed engineering drawings Great attention to detail Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Experience working with various hand tools and power tools commonly used in fabrication processes. Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is advantageous but not mandatory. NVQ / City & Guilds welcome but not essential
