Fabricator/Tig/Stick Welder

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Tig/Stick Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both hand and power tools to assemble components accurately and efficiently. The Welder will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

? Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.

? Prepare materials for welding, including cutting metal components to the appropriate size and shape.

? Set up welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and regulators.

? Perform welding activities using the Tig welding process.

? Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.

? Maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions.

? Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when welding.

Requirements

? Fully qualified in Tig/Stick welding techniques.

? Ideally experienced in Tig welding for minimum 2-3 years.

? Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

? Understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.

? Proficient in using basic maths for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.

? High attention to detail.

? Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

? Must have full drivers licence.

? CSCS card holder preferred but not essential.

? Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
