Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our small but dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the capability to interpret technical drawings, ensuring that all products are fabricated to the highest standards. Main area of work is fabrication and site install of staircases with a 50/50 split in workshop and site work. Site work based in UK . Good variety of work with not all in the workshop would suit local candidate to Durham . Immediate start.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete fabrication tasks. Utilise basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding and fabrication. Driving Licence Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools and welding equipment Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills. A commitment to safety practices in the workplace is essential.
