Job Title:

Fabricator/Welder (MIG/TIG/MMA).

Hourly Rate:

Rate of pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Hours:

Basic of 40 hours, Mon-Fri (8am - 4.30pm) + opportunity of overtime is provided and will be required on occasion.

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our growing Engineering business. This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of a well-established and well organised engineering team for a Creative Manufacturer within the leisure industry, working on a variety of Theme Park Ride Systems and Attractions, as well as high profile welding projects for our varied clientele base worldwide!

Although our premises are based in Ilkeston Derbyshire, site work around the UK and abroad may be required on occasion.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with the companies Health and Safety procedures

TIG/MIG/MMA Welding using a range of materials including: Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Mild Steel

Must be familiar and experienced welding to BS EN 1090, up to execution level 3

Operate fabrication equipment including: press brakes, guillotines, and punches

Inspect and sign off another fabricator's/apprentice's work

Fabricate, assemble and weld components to the high quality level that our customers are promised, whilst meeting set timescales

Build and develop fabricated assemblies to meet drawing specifications

Act as a mentor to lower skilled staff, whilst imparting knowledge when necessary to aid the common goal

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Be able to provide engineering solutions both mechanically and within the fabrication environment

On site installation, testing and commissioning mechanical fitment and within the fabrication environment

Person Specification

An excellent attitude to work is as important to us as much as the candidate's aptitude!

Experience as a Fabricator / Welder - minimum 5 years

Strong and technical background with the ability to work on self-initiative

Excellent TIG/MIG/MMA welding skills with previous welding coding to BSEN ISO 9606-1

Reliable and accurate with a strong attention to detail

High level of experience with fabricating from engineering drawings

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable

Experience using press brakes, guillotines and punches

Excellent communication skills

Able to work well as part of a team

Full Drivers Licence
