Overview


We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabricating and welding various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to assemble components accurately. Responsibilities



Fabricate components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Weld materials using various techniques, including stick welding, ensuring high-quality joints and finishes. Assemble parts and structures with precision, adhering to safety standards and best practices. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the fabrication process. Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools are stored correctly after use. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.

Requirements



Proven experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with sheet metal. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. A valid welding certification is preferred but not mandatory.
