Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires a meticulous approach to assembling components and ensuring high-quality finishes in all projects.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications. Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including stick welding, ensuring strong and durable joints. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute fabrication tasks. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety standards and project requirements. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills

Proficient in welding techniques, particularly stick welding, with experience in working with sheet metal. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
