Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout all projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, to contribute to our specialised fabrication processes.

Duties

Perform MIG/TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Fabricate components from raw materials, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and fit. Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.

Requirements

Proven experience in MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication work. Proficiency in welding techniques. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Strong understanding of sheet metal work and assembly processes. Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills for measurements Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Previous experience working with various metals and materials is desirable. A recognised qualification or certification in welding or fabrication is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
