Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication processes. This role involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminium and requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools. The successful applicant will be responsible for assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards in all welding tasks.

The role requires autonomous working, strong technical skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble components using MIG and TIG welding techniques. Interpret and work from technical drawings and verbal instructions. Complete jobs efficiently with minimal supervision and low levels of rework or scrap. Follow production instructions and quality control procedures. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Handle incoming deliveries and assist with loading/unloading of materials and finished goods. Report hazards, risks, or non-conformances promptly to management. Represent the business professionally and positively at all times. Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any technical issues.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with stick welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous. Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
