Fabricator/Welder Role - Now Hiring!

MUST HAVE TIG AND MIG WELDING EXPERIENCE (or at minimum, TIG proficiency)

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, confident in working with stainless steel, aluminium, and sheet metal. You'll be expected to handle all aspects of the fabrication process from interpretation of drawings to final inspection, all while upholding Ashland's high standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble components using MIG and TIG welding techniques.

Read and interpret technical drawings and verbal instructions accurately.

Complete jobs independently with minimal supervision and low levels of rework or scrap.

Follow production instructions and quality control procedures.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

Assist with incoming deliveries and loading/unloading of materials and finished products.

Report hazards, risks, or non-conformances to management immediately.

Uphold a professional, team-focused approach at all times.

Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.

Collaborate with fellow fabricators and engineers to troubleshoot and improve processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Strong experience in TIG and MIG welding (stick welding is a bonus).

Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with working with sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminium.

Competent use of both hand tools and power tools.

Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
