Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools to assemble components according to specifications. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production standards while maintaining safety protocols.

Duties

Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal. Fabricate and assemble components as per engineering drawings and specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out fabrication tasks. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored appropriately. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve any issues that may arise during the fabrication process. Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
