FULL TIME, SITE BASED IN Newton Aycliffe DL5 6BG

WORKING HOURS - CONTRACTED 39 HOURS PER WEEK

MONDAY TO THURSDAY 08:00AM UNTIL 16:30PM - FRIDAY 9:00am- 15:30PM

Main Purpose of Role:

As part of the continuous expansion we are recruiting several roles within the manufacture and assembly areas of the business. One of these roles being an experienced fabricator. The ideal candidate will be time served and have experience working in an engineering/fabrication environment. The role is a multi-discipline role with the successful candidate completing various tasks through the manufacture of bespoke equipment. These include MIG and TIG welding, operation of press brake machines, various hand held power tools and the assembly and build of bespoke conveyors and machinery.

Key Tasks:

Reading manufacturing/assembly drawings

MIG/TIG welding

Build and assembly of machinery and equipment to drawing

Operating press brake machines

Inspection & checking quality of finished product & reporting any issues/defects

Complete various manual preparation of component as part of the fabrication process

Operation of hand held power tools and pillar drills

Maintain a clean & safe working area

Heavy lifting will be required

Delivering equipment to the customer as needed

Good physical strength and dexterity for loading & unloading

Able to work on foot for extended periods of time

Good levels of verbal communication

Good hand-eye coordination

Understanding of safety & quality

Welding qualifications

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
