Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, and requires proficiency in both TIG welding and general welding techniques. The successful applicant will contribute to the production of high-quality components while ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate components according to specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any fabrication issues. Assist in the assembly of components as required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge throughout the process.

Experience

Proven experience in welding, particularly with TIG welding techniques. Familiarity with various types of welding, including welding, is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work effectively with hand tools and power tools. Experience in fabrication processes, particularly involving sheet metal, is essential. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
