Job Description

SWORD Engineering Ltd is a small, family run business based in Wem, Shropshire. Due to an increased workload we are seeking a mechanically minded, competent Fabricator / Welder with at least 5 years proven experience to join our friendly, committed team in the fabricating and manufacturing of recycling equipment and associated steelworks.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Bespoke Fabrication from drawings - e.g. conveyors, trommels, access platforms, walkways, safety rails, stairs etc Welding (MMA/MIG/Stick) Cutting, Drilling, Grinding General mechanical duties to assist other engineering staff when required Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace and reporting any faults/hazards, in accordance with Company Health and Safety requirements Varied workload weekly within a small and friendly team

Experience & Skills Required

Competent MIG / MMA Fabrication and Welding Skills with at least 5 years proven experience Level 3 NVQ minimum qualification in Fabrication and Welding Must be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings Candidates must have a keen eye for detail, take pride in their workmanship and ensure work is carried out to specification Be able to measure and cut materials accurately Adhere to health and safety procedures Able to work on their own initiative or within a small committed team Mechanical skills Fitting and installation experience desirable Fork lift license highly desirable

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.00-19.00 per hour
