Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials including sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both power and hand tools. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications. Work away from home throughout the UK Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join materials effectively. Utilise basic maths skills to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during the fabrication process. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding, particularly stick welding, with a strong understanding of fabrication processes. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to metalworking. Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
