Smart Manufacturing Solutions are recruiting experienced Welders to join our client's precision fabrication team based in Stockton-on-Tees.

You'll be part of a highly skilled and dynamic workforce within the multi-plate processing and heavy fabrication sector, producing high-quality, heavy-duty components for a wide range of industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MIG welding on heavy steel components Use jigs, fixtures, and templates to ensure precision and repeatability Interpret engineering drawings and weld specifications accurately Conduct light and heavy-duty grinding to prepare and finish welds Complete daily PPM (machine check sheets) and contribute to 5S / housekeeping standards
Requirements

Proven experience in welding or fabrication is beneficial Relevant Qualification in Welding or Fabrication Previous experience in manufacturing is desirable but not essential Confident using handheld tools and workshop equipment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Working Hours

Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:15pm, Friday 6:00am-12:45pm Back Shift (if required): Monday-Thursday 2:15pm-10:30pm, Friday 12:45pm-7:30pm Night Shift (if required): Sunday 9:30pm-6:00am, Monday-Thursday 10:30pm-6:20am
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 12.37-14.43 per hour
