Overview


We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in sheet metal and mechanical assembly. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision and technical expertise. Candidates should be comfortable working with various hand and power tools, and have a solid understanding of welding techniques, including TIG welding. A keen eye for detail and adherence to safety standards are essential to ensure high-quality output.

Duties



Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on a variety of materials, primarily sheet metal Fabricate components according to technical drawings and specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures Measure and mark materials accurately using basic math skills Operate fabrication machinery and equipment as required Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets project standards Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines

Experience



Strong background in fabrication, with hands-on experience working with sheet metal and mechanical assembly Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Mechanical knowledge relevant to fabrication processes and safety procedures Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals is desirable Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
