Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, particularly stainless and aluminium.

This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.

There will also be opportunities to learn how to operate various machines as the workload is quite dynamic

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications and technical drawings. Perform MIG, TIG and other welding techniques. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to shape, cut, and finish materials. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process, applying mechanical knowledge as needed.

Experience

Experience in sheet metal and section fabrication is important, candidates with less experience but a clear willingness to learn and develop their skills will be considered. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabricating components. Previous experience in Laser welding is also desirable but not mandatory. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 per week
