Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role is crucial for ensuring that components are accurately fabricated and assembled to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities



Operate hand tools and power tools to fabricate metal components. Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to assemble parts and structures. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise fabrication. Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Skills



Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for metal fabrication. Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and welding techniques. Ability to fabricate, weld, and assemble various components with precision. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process. Ability to read and interpret engineering 2D & 3D Drawings. Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines. Ensuring that all required parts for assembly are present. Double-checking design specifications before commencing with work. Fabricating and constructing metal components. Grinding and finishing completed products. Previous work experience as a metal fabricator welder. Previously experience working with mild steel, Zintec & galvanised sheet. Ranging from 0.9mm to 30mm. Welding experience/certification Mathematical and engineering skills. Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects. Ability to stand for long periods. Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines. Ensuring that all required parts for assembly are present. Double-checking design specifications before commencing with work. Fabricating and constructing metal components. Grinding and finishing completed products. Performing quality checks on completed products. Conforming with company Health & Safety regulations. Completing quality check sheets.

Essential



Driving Licence

Advantageous



Fork lift truck licence IPAF certification PASMA certification
