We have an exciting opportunity for a Skilled Welder/Sheet Metal Engineer to join our team delivering design, engineering, and manufacturing solutions for some of the world's most exclusive and ultra-premium car programmes.
The Skilled Welder/Sheet Metal Engineer, reporting to the Fabrication & Prototype Supervisor, will work in the manufacturing side of our business working in a factory environment delivering components of high value and ultra-premium quality used in the development and delivery of ultra-premium quality modules for some of the world's most exclusive halo vehicle programmes The Fabrication Technical Centre and its team play a key role in the manufacturing operation at TECNIQ and contribute greatly to the solutions we deliver to our clients.

We develop and produce vehicle body structures and interior trim for the ultra-exclusive, ultra-high-value automotive sector. We are partners on premium, low-volume programmes for luxury global automotive brands such as Mercedes-AMG, McLaren, Ford GT, Aston Martin, Pininfarina, Gordon Murray and many more on such vehicles as, amongst others, the Mercedes AMG-ONE, Pininfarina's Battista and Aston Martin's Valkyrie Pro.

In addition we deliver full vehicle development, including chassis and powertrain, to high net-worth heritage racers via our heritage racing division, ADP Classic Racing. We restore and rebuild high-end classic racing cars, prepare drivers, manage a programme of touring and racing, and provide full event support.
Roles and responsibilities
Welding, cutting, shaping and fabricating metal parts and products, and ensuring that finished products meet high-quality standards.
Working with a variety of materials mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
Reading engineering drawings, and understanding requirements and tolerances.
Sanding/grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish.
Use of a variety of hand, power and workshop tools.
Inspect and test work when finished.
Clean and maintain all equipment and tools, maintain a clean and safe work area.
Performing to a high standard adhering to all health and safety requirements.
Skills required
Be experienced with sheet metal bracketry/assembly able to produce intricate parts to a very high accuracy
An experienced MIG and TIG Aluminium/Mild Steel Welder.
Possess good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, including the ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
Have an interest in CAD/CAM prototype tooling.
Some machining/turning experience is an advantage.
Possess a strong attention to detail.
Be an effective and motivated team player, able to work both closely with others and in a self-guided capacity.
Have a flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
Be similarly experienced able to demonstrate results with metalwork design projects.
Be Innovative in their approach to problem-solving approach to ensure continuous improvement towards the best solution for production products is driven into all work.
Be reliable with good timekeeping.
Have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Maintain a professional, accountable, proactive, and helpful attitude at all times.
Maintain the ability and maturity to give and receive feedback constructively and negotiate with colleagues harmoniously.
Experience
Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience as a Fabricator/ Welder
Metal Fabrication Shop Machinery experience (Such as Press Brake, Guillotine, etc).

Shift information
Monday to Friday, 8am until 4:30pm
Overtime
Please note, overtime is available (dependent upon successfully completing probation and the requirements of the business)
Salary
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
