Cladding/Facade Estimator/Quantity Surveyor - Job Specification

Reports to: Director

Calling all fast, capable, independent, and experienced estimators.

We are looking for candidates to join a pro-active and enterprising team. A candidate who is willing to undertake work on both new builds and existing building, and perform site visits to investigate the best method of work, and oversee and manage intrusive cladding investigations.

The role will be varied and cover (amongst others), the following:

Understand and scrutinise Project Specifications & Drawings

Liaising with clients and consultants

Carry out site visits and surveys

Measuring and take offs for materials, plant and labour

Assist with tenders within short timescales, common return period between 2 and 4 weeks

Assist with tenders between 1 and 3 projects at any time period

Identify and present tender qualifications and exclusions

Produce Value Engineering solutions

Obtain, understand and scrutinise subcontractor quotations

Assist the company and teams on the commercial function.

Maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels within the Company and with all sister companies, as well as externally with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and third parties.

Maintain a flexible working approach and assist other teams, such as the sales team, as required

Mandatory skills & experience:

Prior experience in estimating or quantity surveying

IT skills; competent in Word, & Excel (competence in estimating software and AutoCAD preferred but not essential)

Excellent spoken and written English

Availability:

Full time; 9:00-17:00pm, Monday to Friday

Offices based in London

Remuneration:

Competitive starting salary

Training and coaching will be provided.

The company is a specialist cladding & facades contractor in construction industry. The candidate will be working hand-in-hand with the director.
