Job Description

The Facilitating Trainer is a vital member of the Oliver McGowan Project Team, responsible for delivering training on learning disabilities and autism to health and social care professionals across Dynamic Training's customer base. This role involves building rapport and communication lines with co-trainers who have lived experience, ensuring an inclusive and impactful training environment. This position is a permanent role focused on delivering high-quality training on behalf of Dynamic Training.

Main Duties of the Job



Deliver high-quality training on learning disabilities and autism to health and social care staff across various organisations. Collaborate with Experts by Lived Experience co-trainers, ensuring co-trainers are mentored and effectively ready for delivery. Engage with the Dynamic Training Oliver McGowan Project Team to strengthen capability and promote best practices within client organisations.

Key Responsibilities:



Role model exemplary behaviour in terms of conduct, attitude, and performance while delivering the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism and as a representative of Dynamic Training. Effectively support Experts by Lived Experience co-trainers, ensuring they are fully included and supported in the delivery of the sessions, helping them to develop skills and confidence. Provide reasonable adjustments to support the individual needs of the training teams prior to, during, and after training sessions. Maintain registration as an NHS England-accredited Oliver McGowan Mandatory Trainer by successfully attending any required mandated training and standardisation to keep current. Lead the Oliver McGowan training teams in the preparation of training sessions and the post-session review/ improvement cycle/ updates to ensure high-quality training delivery. Lead Oliver McGowan Mandatory training sessions. Ensure the safety and confidence of training participants and the training team in their surroundings, acting on safeguarding and health and safety concerns in line with organisational policies. Understand the "Train the Trainer" information regarding legal aspects, keeping up to date with current and emerging thinking in health and social care practice, learning disability and autism, laws of consent (UK), The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Human Rights Act 1998, The Autism Act 2009, Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) case law, Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR), and other associated data. Understand and respond to a range of complex queries and challenges from delegates during training, identifying the correct response from the range of factual and most up-to-date material available. Work with the Head of Apprenticeship and Commercial on the development of future lived experience provision as time permits i.e. Dynamic people live learning projects and others.

Maintain quality provision



Adhere to a policy of continuous improvement to raise all aspects of quality and performance in the provision for employers and learners. Complete standardisation of delivery under your area of expertise as required by the curriculum Lead Actively participate in Self-Assessment activities to support development of a Self-Assessment Review and Quality Improvement plan as directed by the curriculum lead for Healthcare Science.

General Duties:



Actively promote and market Dynamic Training UK Ltd and present a positive image of the company. Ensure the quality standards and performance measures applying to the work of the section are met and facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the post. Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role, including maintenance of professional registration (where appropriate) Carry out any duties at all times in accordance with Dynamic Training policies including Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety Policies. Incorporate into the role the philosophy, values and behaviour stated in Dynamic Training UK Ltd Mission, Values and Strategic Plans. Promote within Dynamic Training UK Ltd a positive approach to security and discipline. Undertake any other responsibilities that senior management representative may from time to time require.

Effective Teamwork



Work as a member of the Oliver McGowan Training team and wider Commercial Training department to achieve Key Performance Indicators relevant to your job role.

Develop and maintain own sector Knowledge and skills



To continually update professional knowledge and skills and acquire competencies to ensure your approach to your role adheres to the most recent developments current and future. Undertake Continuous Professional Development and work towards professional qualifications as required. Ensure your working practices aid towards maintain good working relationships with employers, learners and staff.

Comply with relevant internal and stakeholder policies and regulations



Comply with the Company DBS and security procedures and ensure annual declaration is maintained. Ensure that every aspect of Dynamic Training's Equal Opportunity policy is rigorously maintained.
