Ashdown Phillips & Partners Resources Ltd is proud to launch an exciting Facilities Apprenticeship Programme, offering an outstanding opportunity to start a career in property and facilities management within a respected, forward-thinking organisation.
This is not just a job -- it's a career pathway. You'll be part of a vibrant, collaborative team and gain hands-on experience across the full life cycle of building management, learning how modern commercial buildings operate, evolve and thrive. With structured training, professional qualifications and expert mentorship, this programme is designed to give you everything you need to build a successful future in the property industry.
As a leading specialist in property management, Ashdown Phillips is known for delivering innovative, client-focused solutions and setting high standards across the industry. We take pride in creating environments where buildings, businesses and people perform at their best.
We also believe great teams are built through diversity, inclusion and opportunity. At Ashdown Phillips, we welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences and are committed to providing a workplace where everyone can feel supported, respected and empowered to succeed.
The Role
As a Facilities Apprentice, you'll learn how to support and maintain a diverse portfolio of commercial buildings, helping ensure they are safe, compliant, efficient and welcoming for everyone who uses them. You will rotate across different sites and departments, including our Facilities Management, Service Charge Accounting and Surveying teams, giving you a broad and valuable understanding of the industry.
Alongside your day-to-day role, you will complete structured learning, spending 20% of your time on off-the-job training, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification:
Facilities Management Level 2
You'll be supported by experienced professionals who will coach, mentor and guide you throughout the 24-month apprenticeship. High-performing apprentices may be offered a permanent role at the end of the programme.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about how buildings work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to develop a long-term career in property, facilities or estates management.
What You'll Be Doing
You will work closely with our Facilities Managers and wider teams to support the smooth day-to-day running of our buildings, including:
Supporting the management of building services such as heating, lifts, security, reception, cleaning, fire safety and maintenance
Helping ensure all buildings meet health, safety and compliance standards
Assisting with audits, inspections and follow-up actions
Maintaining accurate records, documentation and certifications
Supporting the upkeep of communal areas and external grounds
Helping to manage requests, incidents, complaints and emergencies
Monitoring and supporting contractors and service partners on site
Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance and minor refurbishments
Working with teams such as Surveying, Accounts and Central Services to deliver excellent outcomes for clients and occupiers
Using systems such as POM and Riskwise to help manage buildings and risks
Every day will be different -- giving you real exposure to how high-quality buildings are operated and cared for.
