We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our team in Abingdon.
Job Purpose:
To provide support to the Head of Facilities and wider business by assisting with day-to-day facilities and fleet related matters, ensuring professional communication and prompt resolution to all queries. The postholder will be a goal-orientated completer-finisher with the tenacity and persistence to drive tasks to completion.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Support all administration activities within facilities management (FM), delivering quality service levels to all stakeholders with a proactive attitude.
Arrange and manage mandatory checks across all sites with approved contractors, ensuring central database is kept up to date at all times.
Support all administration activities within fleet management activities.
Support the Head of Facilities with ad hoc projects as required.
Skills & Personal Attributes
The position requires the job holder to possess:
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
Strong hands-on IT capability with sound working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
A passion for facilities management excellence, continuously striving to identify areas for improvement.
The ability to build and develop effective relationships with external contractors and stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
A pro-active and 'can-do' attitude.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and meet set deadlines.
Qualifications:
Good standard of general education, including GCSEs in English and maths
Full driving licence preferred.
