The Facilities Maintenance Operative will be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair and upkeep operations of our company's facilities.
Responsibilities include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities for all the company's assets, developing maintenance procedures, maintaining both the interior and exterior of the buildings and all other general maintenance duties that ensure the smooth running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address any maintenance issues.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring timely reordering to prevent disruptions.
Develop and maintain maintenance schedules in collaboration with production managers to optimise production output.
Document all maintenance activities and repairs in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
Maintain and repair all facilities and grounds across the 3 sites.
Liaise with third parties to repair any item that is outside of the ability of the post holder.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during maintenance operations.
Ensure all operational activities comply with ISO certifications, legal standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., data protection, GDPR, environmental).
Support office moves, equipment transitions, and facility relocations when required
Ensure that budgetary requirements are met.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a manufacturing background.
Excellent organisational, planning, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrate the ability to enthusiastically work as part of a team, be flexible and ready to provide support across all departments
Excellent communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Be proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks and audit requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001) would be an advantage.
