Shift Pattern

14:30pm - 23:00pm Monday to Friday shift pattern

Job Summary



We are looking for an experienced Factory Cleaner who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of a building or facility, performing duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms

They will adhere to safe manual handling processes and food safety hygiene standards at all times, and continual housekeeping and maintenance of a safe working environment whilst in operation.

Core Responsibilities:



Basic Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and window cleaning. Restroom Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors. Waste Management: Emptying trash and recycling receptacles. Supply Replenishment: Replenishing supplies like soap, paper towels, and cleaning products. Maintenance Reporting: Notifying management or supervisors of any damage or maintenance issues. Adherence to Schedules and Protocols: Following cleaning schedules and adhering to safety protocols. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor polishers), ensuring it's cleaned and stored properly.

Additional Responsibilities:



Working with Cleaning Materials: Diluting and using cleaning materials as directed. Reporting Defects: Identifying and reporting defects and hazards to a supervisor. Assisting with Facility Bookings: Setting up or removing equipment and preparing rooms for use. Maintaining Stock: Stocking and maintaining supply rooms.
This is a physical, busy and active role.

This environment is warm, dusty and you may get wet. You will be required to work in confined spaces, kneel and maybe even work at heights. You will be given a cleaning record for all locations and tasks and this needs to be completed daily.

Responsibilities:



It can be complicated and physically challenging. Especially with audit requirements and customer expectations to exceed. We're looking for people willing to learn and keen to progress. You'll have hygiene experience and understand all about food safety. You'll also need to be comfortable wearing PPE, working in a factory environment and using cleaning chemicals. Attitude and work ethic is key however you will need to be physically fit and not afraid of hard work.

Experience:

Have all round cleaning experience within in a manufacturing production and food manufacturing environment Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities Be able to work on own initiative and manage own time Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management team Have good knowledge of H&S and COSHH Be a champion of health and safety practices Have experience achieving targets and standards within the workplace Have a good communication level

Pay: 12.99 per hour
