About the role
We are looking for a proactive, highly organised and solutions-focused individual to join TCW East School as our Facilities Coordinator and Assistant to the Headteacher.
This dual role is key to the daily functioning and long-term success of our school site. You'll take the lead on ensuring our facilities are safe, well-run and welcoming, while providing high-level executive support to the Headteacher. From maintenance and compliance to visitor management and sustainability, your work will have an impact across the entire school community.
This is a varied role with plenty of scope for responsibility and growth. You'll oversee office systems and logistics, support budgeting and procurement processes, and help coordinate inspections, reports and events. You'll also play a vital role in safeguarding, compliance and health and safety, helping to ensure our students and staff thrive in a secure and supportive environment.
We're looking for someone who:
Has strong experience in office management, facilities coordination, or operations
Is calm, reliable and professional, even under pressure
Can juggle multiple priorities with confidence and care
Enjoys creating efficient systems and keeping things running smoothly
Communicates clearly and respectfully with people at all levels
What you'll be doing:
Leading the daily operations of the TCW East site, including maintenance, safety checks, and visitor management
Acting as the main keyholder and overseeing cleaning, stock, and utility readings
Managing office systems, equipment, post, room bookings and staff onboarding
Supporting compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
Assisting the Headteacher with calendar management, communication, document preparation, and event coordination
Working closely with the finance team on contracts, procurement and budget monitoring
Promoting sustainability and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture
