We're looking for an experienced and qualified

Facilities Engineer

to join our high-performing property maintenance team. This is a pivotal technical role where your expertise will directly impact the comfort, safety, and energy performance of our hotels. With at least 5 years of experience and a recognised HVAC or Maintenance Technician qualification, you'll take ownership of our core systems, from chillers and boilers to electrical distribution and general building upkeep.

What you'll be doing as a Facilities Engineer:




Take the lead on all HVAC operations--installing, maintaining, and repairing chillers, boilers, air handling units, and VRF systems. Handle advanced electrical maintenance across lighting systems, 3-phase power, fire alarms, and emergency generators. Manage general building upkeep, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting, to keep our spaces at their best. Drive preventative maintenance programs that prioritise system efficiency, regulatory compliance, and guest satisfaction. Respond quickly to issues, diagnose root causes, and deliver effective fixes--especially where HVAC and electrical concerns are involved. Support and supervise external contractors to ensure their work meets our high standards and health and safety protocols. Maintain clear and accurate logs for all HVAC and electrical maintenance tasks, supporting audits and asset life cycle planning. Collaborate with hotel and central teams to keep each property running smoothly and sustainably.

What we're looking for in a Facilities Engineer:




5+ years of experience

in a facilities, maintenance, or engineering role--ideally within hospitality or hotels. A

recognised HVAC or Maintenance Technician qualification

(e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, F-Gas certification). Proven hands-on expertise with VRF systems, boilers, AHUs, and large-scale HVAC infrastructure. Strong electrical knowledge--confident with 3-phase systems, lighting controls, generators, and safety systems. Familiarity with plumbing, decorating, and general maintenance trades. A proactive, reliable, and organised approach to work. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Flexibility to support out-of-hours issues or weekend work when needed.

Bonus if you also have:




Experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment or pool systems. A current UK driving license. Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations in hospitality settings.
