An exciting opportunity has become available for full time Facilities and Logistics Assistants at Folkestone and Margate Police Stations. This role includes working as part of a team that provides a full range of facilities services including the following: preventative maintenance and minor repairs, office moves, painting and decorating, meeting room set ups, security and escorting, driving, vehicle maintenance, collecting CSI exhibits and general postal duties on a rota basis around the county, cleaning.
You must be self-motivated with a flexible approach. A simple shift system ensures that the office is staffed during core working hours (0800 to 1600 Monday to Friday), allowing service calls to be actioned in a timely manner therefore maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Work will be administered through a variety of channels including bespoke computer programs, and the use of office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Service Manager HornBill and Outlook will be part of daily duties.
Experience in a similar role would be an advantageous however, due to the variety of customer calls, no two days are the same. Therefore, a proactive, can-do attitude offering common sense and clear thinking is a must.
The post requires some lifting duties therefore you will need to ensure that you are able to perform these tasks. A general knowledge and an awareness of Health & Safety policies would be desirable however training would be given.
